Masquerade proves that Becoming Violet, even in their decline, were not to be underestimated.
It boasts some of their best songs ('Garden Path' is a gem) but also some of their worst.
The album suffered from the band’s infighting, but curious fans should still give it a go, it is well overdue a reappraisal.
